Editing is about so much more than just fixing spelling and grammar mistakes; it's about maintaining continuity throughout the whole book, making sure that every idea is complete and meaningful, and keeping your individual voice. Having your novel edited by me means that your writing will go to the publisher error-free, while maintaining your voice and writing style. I am known for being honest and you can count on me to voice any concerns that I have with your plot before it gets to your readers. I can edit at whatever pace fits your needs, whether that’s a couple of weeks or a couple of months. I believe that AI can destroy creativity in writing, and that’s why it is included in all my contracts to not use it for any of my work.

My standard rates for editing are as follows:

Copy Editing: $0.007 / word

Line Editing: $0.008 / word

Developmental Editing: $0.009 / word

Prices and lead time are subject to change after the sample edit period based on the discretion of both parties.

Please reach out if you have any concerns regarding pricing or timing. My contact info is below, and all prices are negotiable.

Hi! I am a freelance book editor and I offer a variety of different editing services for all kinds of books. I earned a bachelor’s degree in English with a minor in dance from Oakland University, which is where my love for editing blossomed. I worked with classmates and other students to proofread and edit their essays for a variety of classes. After graduating, I decided to follow my passion and edit books, several of which you can find in my portfolio. One of my favorite things about editing books is getting to know the authors as people and nerd out over the little things in their books as I work. My favorite types of books are romance and fantasy, and I love a good character driven story. In my free time, I choreograph local musicals, perform in local plays, read ARC books (check out my instagram!), compete in races, and hang out with my boyfriend and our pets.
